Three bottlenose dolphins.

For the first half of the survey there were no sightings, but in the second hour a group of three bottlenose dolphins were spotted travelling west towards the fish factory. The same group remained throughout the rest of the survey but split into different groups. One of the individuals began doing very energetic movements such as tail slaps and leaping beyond the fish factory while another came close into the harbour wall and milled about at the surface regularly coming up to breathe. The other dolphin approached a nearby dolphin spotting boat for a while. In the final section of the survey one of the dolphins left our survey area, but the other two remained close to the wall still surfacing regularly.
