12/04/15: Daily the Common Dolphin and an Atlantic Grey Seal

Weather conditions: Overcast/dull; sea state 3; wind direction variable
One Common dolphin

The resident common dolphin Daily was seen throughout the survey in the same area, towards the blue buoy just right of the harbour wall. Thought to be foraging at depth and milling at/around the surface.

Weather conditions: Fair to overcast/dull; sea state 3; wind direction SSW
One Common dolphin and one Atlantic grey seal

Daily the common dolphin was seen throughout the survey foraging/milling at the surface in the same area just north of the harbour wall. A grey seal was also seen at 12:15 “bottling”, spotted just slightly left of the harbour wall but very close in, approximately 100m.

One common dolphin

The common dolphin Daily was seen on three separate occasions during this two hour survey period was thought to be foraging at depth close to the harbour wall, approximately 300m in front of the wall.

Daily the common dolphin was seen on three separate occasions during this two hour survey period. It was thought to be foraging at depth and was seen in the same area throughout the survey, towards the group of buoys to the right of the harbour wall.
