11/07/11: 5 harbour porpoise, 3 Atlantic grey seals and 11 bottlenose dolphins

Weather conditions: sea state 0-1, visibility >10km, light swell

At 10:12 two harbour porpoise – one of which was a calf – were spotted foraging near the first bird colony.
At 10:49 one Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water NE of Ynys Lochtyn.
At 10:51 one bottlenose dolphin was seen travelling east, north of Trwyn Crou. Gannets were seen in association with the dolphins.
At 11:00 seven bottlenose dolphins, including a calf, were sighted leaping, tail slapping, socialising and bow riding to the NE of Ynys Lochtyn.

Weather conditions: sea state 1-2, visibility >10km, light swell

At 12:09 one female Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water to the NW of Bird’s Rock.
At 12:35 three harbour porpoise (one a calf) was seen foraging to the north of Cwmtydu Beach and kittiwakes were feeding with the dolphins.

Weather conditions: sea state 0-2, visibility >10km, light swell

At 14:12 two bottlenose dolphins were seen travelling SW in a close group, north of the first bird colony.

Weather conditions: sea state 2-3, visibility >10km, light swell

At 16:22 one female Atlantic grey seal was spotted in the water at Bird’s Rock.  Kittiwakes were seen resting in their nests. 
At 17:39 one bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging south-west of the Cardinal Buoy.
