11/06/2015: Eleven Bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

Eleven bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

During this two hour survey there was a total of four sightings. The first of these sightings was a group of three bottlenose dolphins consisting of two adults and one juvenile, these individuals were observed to be milling around the surface and engaging in deep dives. Another adult and juvenile were spotted minutes later and were observed to be milling at the surface. These groups then joined to form a pod of three adults, one juvenile and two calves. This group was observed to be engaging in many varying behaviours including tail slapping and leaping. The final sighting was not until near the end of the survey were a lone seal was spotted in the water around birds rock.
