Five Bottlenose dolphins
Bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the survey, apart from the last 15 minutes. Five bottlenose dolphins were seen within the first 45 minutes, including a mother and calf, foraging near the lifeboat station and milling at the surface towards the cardinal buoy. Later on in the survey a further dolphin was seen travelling east away from the fish factory. The mother calf eventually left the survey area, leaving the remaining three dolphins to forage around the cardinal buoy.

12 bottlenose dolphins
Within the first half hour seven bottlenose dolphins were sighted. Four were seen North of the fish factory jumping and leaping, while a further three, including a mother and calf, were seen travelling SE near the harbour wall. No further sightings were recorded until the last 15 minutes where five bottlenose dolphins were seen jumping and leaping inside Newquay bay.

Six bottlenose dolphins and one grey seal
Six bottlenose dolphins, including a calf, were seen within the first 15 minutes jumping and leaping, with a single dolphin milling at the surface. A group of four splintered off and were jumping and leaping towards the cardinal buoy. It remained quiet until the last fifteen minutes when a group of six dolphins, including a calf, were jumping, leaping and milling at the surface just off the harbour wall.

Three bottlenose dolphins and one grey seal
Two bottlenose dolphins were seen within the first half hour foraging near the cardinal buoy. A mother and calf were then sighted travelling SE just off the harbour wall, and were then joined by another dolphin foraging in the bay. A grey seal was also spotted in the water just in front of the harbour wall.
