09/09/2014- bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic grey seals and harbour porpoise

Three Atlantic grey seas, four bottlenose dolphins

The start of the survey one grey seal was hauled out near birds rock. A few minutes later another was seen in the water offshore towards Cwmtydu. half way through the survey a bottlenose mother and calf were seen foraging and socialising at Ynys lochtyn. Towards the end of the survey a grey seal was seen in the water near Birds Rock again, and two bottlenose dolphins were foraging in New Quay bay.

Five harbour porpoise, 15 Atlantic grey seals and 18 bottlenose dolphins

At the start of the survey two adult harbour porpoise were seen foraging and just after Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water bottling.  Four hours into the survey there was another brief sighting of a harbour porpoise.  At Bardsey Island 14 Atlantic Grey Seals were sighted hauled out on the rocks.  Another porpoise was sighted travelling W.  Seven hours into the survey seven bottlenose dolphins were seen travelling fast N.  Towards the end of the survey two bottlenose dolphins were seen leaping and shortly after nine bottlenose dolphins were seen leaping and travelling fast N.
