08/06/2016: 8 Bottlenose Dolphins and 10 Atlantic Grey Seals

8 Bottlenose dolphins and 4 Atlantic grey seals

Eight bottlenose dolphins were spotted at 10:44. The eight dolphins spotted included seven adults and one calf. They were spotted around 400 metres from the boat displaying behaviour such as foraging, travelling North West and tail slapping. There was no further sighting of bottlenose dolphins however there was sightings of two female Atlantic grey seals at around 10:57. They were spotted in the water around 40 metres away from the boat.

The first Atlantic grey seal was spotted around 58 metres away from the boat. It was spotted at around 13:01. The adult seal was spotted in the water. There was another sightings of an Atlantic grey seal spotted around 150 metres away from the boat. The female seal was spotted at around 14:06 hauled out and appeared to be pregnant.

The first sighting of an Atlantic grey seal was at 15:55 and spotted around 20 metres from the boat. The female seal was spotted in the water. The next sighting of the Atlantic grey seal was at around 15:59. The seal was close to the boat as it was spotted only 20 metres away from the boat in the water. Another Atlantic grey seal was spotted at 16:08 around 40 metres away from the boat. The seal was a female and appeared to be pregnant and was spotted hauled out. Another Atlantic grey seal was spotted at 16:36 around 25 metres from the boat. The seal was spotted in the water
