08/06/15: 3 Bottlenose Dolphins and 1 Atlantic Grey Seal

One bottlenose dolphin

In the first section of this survey no sightings were recorded but from quarter to nine a lone dolphin was spotted at equidistance between the end of the pier and the cardinal buoy (~500m). It was displaying behaviours of rapid travel with forward leaps.

Two bottlenose dolphins

After half an hour 2 bottlenose dolphins were observed in the harbour, at the end of the pier nearest to the RNLI station. They were slowly circling and milling around at the surface.

One Atlantic grey seal

Towards the end of the first hour one lone seal was spotted travelling close to the harbour wall.
