2 hour survey, start time 09.00
Weather conditions: overcast and dull, sea state 3-4, wind W
Three bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were seen throughout the survey, beginning with an adult and a calf leaping and lunging in front of the harbour wall. Another adult then joined the pair and began foraging. At 9.45 an Atlantic grey seal was also seen in front of the harbour wall. After this the three bottlenose dolphins remained foraging around the wall for the rest of the survey.

Five bottlenose dolphins

Dolphins were seen throughout the entire survey, at the start of the survey three dolphins were seen foraging off the end of the harbour wall including a mother and a calf. Animals were then seen travelling out towards the cardinal buoy where they were seen foraging. During the second half of the survey a total of five animals were seen travelling and foraging between the cardinal buoy and the fish factory.

Weather conditions: fair- overcast, sea state 3, wind W-SW
Six bottlenose dolphins

At the start of the survey four dolphins were seen foraging in front of the harbour wall with another two animals travelling in a westerly direction. These animals were seen for the first half of the survey with animals gradually travelling off. The final sighting of this survey was of a group of three animals including a calf that were seen travelling east. No dolphins were seen in the second half of the survey.
