06/07/2013: Bottlenose Dolphins and Atlantic grey seal

Weather conditions: Sunny to Overcast to Fair; sea state 1, wind N/NW.
Eight Bottlenose Dolphins & One Atlantic Grey seal

Dolphins were seen throughout the survey. There was a lot of activity around the cardinal buoy. One individual spent the entirety of the survey near the harbour wall and even entered the harbour during a spell of moderate boat traffic. There was also frequent boat encounters, but they generally had positive outcomes. A grey seal was also spotted east off of the harbour wall.

Weather conditions: Sunny to Overcast to Fair; sea state 1-2, wind WNW/NW.
Eight Bottlenose Dolphin

The primary points of activity during this survey were the fish factory and the cardinal buoy, with individuals foraging between the two. The pod was often split, with individuals spread throughout the survey area. There were frequent boat encounters, especially near the fish factory, but all of them resulted in no change in behaviour.

Weather conditions: Sunny; sea state 1; wind N/NW.
Four Bottlenose Dolphin.

A mother and calf spent the duration of the survey around the cardinal buoy, they were recorded foraging and socialising. There was a further two individuals foraging in front of the wall, they then travelled north-west and out of sight.
