06/06/12: Six bottlenose dolphins, seven Atlantic grey seals

Five Bottlenose dolphins, Two Atlantic grey seals

Two bottlenose dolphins consisting of a mother and a calf were sighted by New Quay headland early in the survey showing foraging behaviour. At cliffs near the island of Ynys Lochtyn two female adult grey seals were sighted both in the water. On the return journey near the end of the survey near New Quay headland a mother and calf Bottlenose dolphins were sighted likely to be the same pair as earlier only this time they were joined by another adult bottlenose dolphin all were still displaying foraging behaviour.

One Bottlenose dolphins, Five Atlantic Grey Seals

One Atlantic grey seal was sighted in the water close to the boat near to Birds rock on the outward journey. Four Atlantic grey seals were later seen also in the water all were in the water and were sighted near to the island of Ynys Lochtyn all were female. Near the end of the survey between the Headland and the harbour a Bottlenose dolphin was sighted its behaviour was unknown.
