06/04/13: 7 Atlantic grey seals and 2 harbour porpoises

Three Atlantic grey seals and two harbour porpoises.

The first Atlantic grey seal was a male sighted along New Quay’s coastal path.
Less than fifteen minutes later an adult and a calf harbour porpoises were sighted travelling north along the coast of Cwmtydu. An Atlantic grey seal was sighted in the water along the coast of Ynys-Lochin. Another male grey seal was sighted on the way back to the harbour along New Quay’s path.

Three Atlantic grey seals

Early in the survey, one female Atlantic grey seal was seen hauled out near Bird’s Rock. On the return journey, two Atlantic grey seals were seen hauled out and in the water, in the same area.
