Weather conditions: fair – raining, sea state 1, wind direction SE/SW

Surveys were conducted from 9am-1pm. Seven bottlenose dolphins, including one calf, were observed foraging, fast circling, leaping and lunging close to the cardinal buoy. The group traveled out of the bay area shortly after.  A female Atlantic grey seal was also seen bottling in the water close to the harbour wall. There were no marine mammal sightings during the second survey however, a number of birds including an Iceland gull, two red throated divers and a black headed gull were spotted by out volunteer.
