Six Bottlenose dolphins

One bottlenose dolphin was originally sighted off the end of the harbour wall at 9:15, in the next 15 minutes a mother and calf, and another individual join the survey area. The mother and calf were spotted in the area for the next 15 minutes at the end of the harbour wall, while an individual was seen around the cardinal buoy. Up to this point the all dolphins displayed behaviours of staying and foraging either near the surface or at depth. In the second hour a pod of three dolphins (one which was a calf) were near the harbour wall, foraging for half an hour, before leaving the area. Two bottlenose dolphins travelled south into the area and searched for prey while on the move, at the beginning of the second hour, they stayed in the area foraging at depth for the next 15 minutes. And then they travelled north-east out the area, again looking for prey while travelling. At 10:15 another individual was seen in the area also foraging at depth.
