04/08/2013 – 25 bottlenose dolphins and 15 Atlantic grey seals

Weather conditions: visibility >10km, sea state1-3, light swell
4 bottlenose dolphins and 2 Atlantic grey seals

Three bottlenose dolphins, including one calf, were spotted leaping, foraging and displaying close contact near the harbour wall.  Two more bottlenose dolphins were spotted leaping in a loose group NE of the harbour wall.  In the same vicinity another group of two bottlenose dolphins were spotted foraging and travelling east.  One female grey seal was spotted, hauled out near Cwm Tydu.  Another grey seal was spotted in the water near Llangrannog.  Two bottlenose dolphins were spotted displaying close contact, lunging and foraging near New Quay headland.

Weather conditions: visibility 1-10km, sea state 2, light swell
7 bottlenose dolphins and 8 Atlantic grey seals

Five bottlenose dolphins, including one calf were spotted near New Quay headland foraging and traveling SE. One female grey seal was spotted in the water near Cwm Tydu.  One pregnant female grey seal was spotted hauled out between Cwm Tydu and Llangrannog.  Six female grey seals were spotted in the water near Llangrannog.  Two bottlenose dolphins (a mother and calf) were spotted traveling east near New Quay headland.

14 bottlenose dolphins and 5 Atlantic grey seals

Seven bottlenose dolphins, including two calves were spotted foraging and leaping, near New Quay harbour.  One female grey seal was spotted hauled out between Cwm Tydu and Llangrannog and another grey seal was spotted in the water in the same area.  Two female grey seals were spotted in the water near Ynys Lochtyn and another grey seal was spotted in the water near Llangrannog.  Seven bottlenose dolphins were spotted displaying close contact and foraging, near New Quay headland.
