Seven bottlenose dolphins and two Atlantic grey seals

 

Three bottlenose dolphins, including one calf, were seen foraging about 30 metres from the boat in the New Quay bay area. Another lone bottlenose dolphin was spotted in the same area about 200 metres from the boat. One female Atlantic grey seal and its pup were seen hauled out on the rocks by the first bird colony. One bottlenose dolphins was seen foraging about 150 metres from the boat and another two bottlenose dolphins were seen in the New Quay bay area about 75 metres from the boat.

Weather conditions: sea state 2-3; visibility >10km, light/moderate swell

Seven bottlenose dolphins and six Atlantic grey seals

 

Three bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging by the cardinal buoy about 200 metres from the boat. A female Atlantic grey seal and its pup were seen hauled out on the rocks by the first bird colony and one female Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water offshore Cymn Tydu. A lone bottlenose dolphin was seen swimming and foraging between Try Cru and Yns Lochtyn. Towards the end of the survey three bottlenose dolphins, including one calf, were seen foraging by the harbour wall.
