03/08/2013 – 9 bottlenose dolphins and 3 Atlantic grey seals

2 hour survey, start time: 10:00
Weather conditions: visibility >10km, sea state 2-4, moderate swell
6 bottlenose dolphins and one Atlantic grey seal

Two bottlenose dolphins were seen leaping and foraging in front of the harbour wall at the start of the survey. Further down the coast, just past Cwm Tydu one Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water. Slightly further down the coast towards Ynys Lochtyn one bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging. In the same area but slightly more offshore a mother and calf were seen foraging together. At the end of the survey upon the boats return into the harbour one bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging in front of the harbour wall.

Weather conditions visibility >10km, sea state 2-5, moderate swell
3 bottlenose dolphins and two Atlantic grey seals

At the start of the survey one bottlenose dolphin was seen throwing fish in the air in front of the harbour wall. Two female Atlantic grey seals were seen in the water towards Ynys Lochtyn. There were no further dolphin sightings until the boat returned to the harbour where a mother and calf were seen tail slapping.
