Nine bottlenose dolphins, four harbour porpoises and nine Atlantic grey seals
At the beginning of the survey, three bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging in New Quay bay. Half an hour later, a group of three harbour porpoises were seen travelling west, shortly followed by two individual sightings of Atlantic grey seals in the water. After another half an hour, a lone harbour porpoise was seen travelling slowly north-west. An hour later, a lone female Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water, followed ten minutes later by a group of eight bottlenose dolphins which were observed foraging with fish seen, taking long dives and bow-riding the boat. Over the next two and a half hours, six individual sightings of Atlantic grey seals were recorded in the water.
