Can you help us raise the final £5,000 towards a new boardwalk?
What do we want to do?
We want to install 600m of brand new boardwalk at our flagship Teifi Marshes nature reserve in Pembrokeshire. This will be to a high specification, with recycled plastic base materials giving it the longest life possible, and timber upper structures for aesthetic and maintenance benefit.
The new boardwalk will create a circular route where there currently is none and will be free to access for local members and residents.
The route will provide access through the reedbed and wet woodland part of this spectacular nature reserve, allowing visitors to immerse themselves fully in the glorious habitats of this Site of Special Scientific Interest.
How much will it cost?
Because of the high specification to give it a long life, the project is costed at £96,660 in total.
We have already been successful in raising £77,328 towards these costs from Welsh Government through their Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being in Wales (ENRaW) Grant scheme, which is fantastic news, and funding for which we are incredibly grateful.
We have also already ring-fenced £5000 of our own funds and are seeking £10,000 from other funders.
That leaves us with around £5,000 to raise to make the new boardwalk possible. Please help us if you can by donating today.
Any excess, if we are lucky enough to raise it, will be ring-fenced and spent on maintenance.
