On Saturday 19th June, we went LIVE with Iolo Williams and Lizzie Daly to celebrate all things wild at Parc Slip Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre!
Parc Slip Nature Reserve is a wildlife haven, but did you know that it used to be an open cast coal mine? It's now home to over 1,000 species of wildlife, including breeding populations of the European protected great crested newt, and has a fantastic mix of habitats including, grasslands, wetlands and woodlands.
Parc Slip is a Valley's Regional Park Discovery Gateway and the site has recently received improvements to enhance the visitor experience and memorial area. From a green roof bike shelter and electric car charging points, to a new boardwalk and trail signs, Parc Slip has it all for everyone and our #WildAboutParcSlip live event and broadcast celebrated this fantastic reserve.
