Skokholm Island Day Trips
Day trips for 2010 will be on the following dates, all on a Monday:
10 May - full, waiting list open
7 June - full, waiting list open
5 July - full, waiting list open
2 August - one place available, waiting list open
The cost will be £35 for adults and £10 for under 16s.
Founders Day visit will be on Monday 14 June, further details will be sent to the Founders in due course.
There will also be a waiting list for cancellations. Please bear in mind that sometimes there is only a couple of days notice of cancellations.
The boat will leave Martin's Haven (two miles from Marloes) at 9am and return at approximately 4.30pm.
Bookings and payment in advance should be made through Island Bookings on 01239 621600. Island Bookings is open 9am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (lunch break 11.55am-12.40pm).
There is a National Trust car park at Martin's Haven for which there is a small charge. If you are a member of the National Trust you will not have to pay but will have to display some sign of membership.
You will need to take food and drink plus drinking water with you. Do not forget any medication you might need.
Landing on Skokholm is from the side of the boat onto an uneven and potentially slippery surface which may involve the use of a ladder off the side of the boat. There are steps and an uphill walk to the top of the island. We cannot cater for wheelchairs or people with limited mobility. There is no electricity or telephones or hot and cold running water. Please note the only modern convenience are chemical toilets!
Please wear suitable shoes as the terrain is not level. Be aware there is little shelter on the island and be prepared for sunny/wet weather.
