Meet The New Kids On The Block!
July saw the My Wild Cardiff Project taken to some new areas of Cardiff!
After a 6 year closure, Goodwick Moor Nature Reserve has reopened showcasing a new 500m long boardwalk and new wildlife pond.
This wading bird is mainly a visitor on its spring and autumn migration, though a small number nest in Scotland.
Lavernock is made up of a number of habitats, principally coastal Jurassic limestone grassland and scrub. Status Lavernock Point SSSI forms two thirds of the site.
Our reserves in Brecknock have received funding to improve access, including the installation of some new gates.
During the second survey of the day a female Atlantic grey seal was observed swimming in New Quay Bay.
We are delighted to report a bumper number of greater butterfly orchids this year at Carmel Nature Reserve.
