From prime-time UK documentaries, international feature films, professional photography, and TV dramas, our nature reserves have been used as locations by media from around the world. The nature of requests vary widely and it helps us to process any filming requests by completing our Media Enquiry Form.

The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (WTSWW) are organising a poetry competition to celebrate World Poetry Day (21st of March). We want to read all about what nature means to you, your experiences with nature, and why nature is important. Entries are welcomed in both Welsh and English. Planning is a devolved matter in Wales – meaning that Wales has its own primary planning legislation (the Planning (Wales) Act 2015), and that local planning authorities in Wales must comply with the plans and policies set by the Welsh Government.

The Wales Resilient Ecological Network (WaREN) will establish a framework for tackling invasive species across Wales.

The water vole is under serious threat from habitat loss and predation by the American mink. Found along our waterways, it is similar looking to the brown rat, but with a blunt nose, small ears and furry tail. We're on a mission to bring back this charismatic species back to the rivers, streams, and ditches of Wales!

It's vital that today's young people have the opportunities to form life-long connections to nature and have their say in creating a wilder future. Whether that's through fun activities with the family, learning at school, joining Wildlife Watch, or being part of a youth forum, we want to bring nature into the everyday lives of young people and help them connect and be inspired to stand up for nature.
