A lone Atlantic grey seal was spotted between the headland and harbour wall. Our first recorded marine mammal sightings of 2022!
During the second survey of the day a female Atlantic grey seal was observed swimming in New Quay Bay.
An Atlantic grey seal appeared briefly by the harbour wall.
Skomer Shearwater Week is running for 3 sessions in 2026, 30th August-1st September, 1st-3rd September and 3rd-5th September. Booking opens on Monday 8th December.

Last Tuesday a group of Gower volunteers visited Llyn Fach, a remote reserve hidden away above Rhigos, at the top of the Neath Valley, Glamorgan.
