Berry Wood, Knelston, Gower, Swansea
Ancient mixed deciduous woodland. Status Notified SSSI and covered by Tree Preservation Order. Notified SSSI and covered by Tree Preservation Order.
Cwm Colhuw
Coastal calcareous grassland, Ash woodland and scrub. The site is partly designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument and lies within the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
Brynna Woods and Llanharan Marsh
Brynna woods comprises of 38ha of secondary, and some ancient, semi-natural woodland, scrub, marshy grassland, dry grassland and ruderal habitats.
Reed warbler
Listen out for the 'chattering' song of the reed warbler, while wandering the UK's lowland wetlands in summer. A small, brown bird, they are quite hard to see.
Sea hare
The sea hare looks like a sea slug – but in fact has an internal shell. They can be up to 20cm long but are usually much shorter.
Parc Slip Nature Reserve – Bridgend
A restored opencast site consisting of grassland, woodland, wetlands, including lakes with bird hides. Green Flag Accredited Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre.
