Summer at the Welsh Wildlife Centre
Join us for a fun-filled summer holiday at the Welsh Wildlife Centre. Take part in hands-on activities, enjoy the Teifi Marshes nature reserve, and learn about our wonderful Welsh Wildlife.
Wildlife Watch
Watch groups are for children aged between eight and twelve years old and their families. All groups operate within a monitored framework of child welfare and safety and all Watch leaders undergo a thorough recruitment process to check their suitability to work with young people.
Make A Splash This National Marine Week
National Marine Week is our celebration of all things marine. Despite the name, it lasts 15 fun-filled days to allow for the variation in tide times around the country.
Hedgerow
Hedgerows are one of our most easily encountered wildlife habitats, found lining roads, railways and footpaths, bordering fields and gardens and on the coast.
Spotted cowrie
This small sea snail is easily identifiable by the 3 brown spots on the top of its shell.
Tortoise bug
A fairly large, variable shieldbug found in grassy areas across England and Wales.
Frog orchid
This unassuming orchid is easily overlooked. It is found patchily across the UK, but has been declining for decades.
Violet sea slug
Despite its dazzling colouration, this fabulous nudibranch can be easily missed, due to its small size!

Yellow-tail
