Nextdoor Nature brought Swansea communities together to help nature flourish! Over the course of two years our goal was to create sustainable and impactful community action for wildlife in Swansea - empowering local people through community organising.

The Great Big Nature Survey is all about people and nature.

The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, and the other Wildlife Trusts across the UK, want to hear your opinions on some of the biggest questions surrounding nature and our role in caring for it.

Only a 20 minute boat trip from the mainland, Skomer is an excellent place for a daytime adventure. Bursting with seabirds including our Atlantic Puffins, Guillemots and Razorbills, this National Nature Reserve is one of Britain's most important seabird colonies. It is peaceful and wild at all times of year - there's so much to see and explore.

Please note, Puffins start arriving in mid-April. They are present from May-July. The first ones start leaving in mid-July and all Puffins are gone by the end of July. Please see our seasonal timeline below for what to see each month.

Our own back gardens are often the place where we encounter wildlife most regularly. Whether it's digging up worms or feeding the birds, we all benefit from being out in a garden and wildlife too can thrive in these little havens.
