This course is aimed at beginners and intermediates, who wish to learn about the small mammals found in the UK.

This will be done through indoor classroom sessions, in order to learn about their ecology, along with outdoor sessions, where attendees will learn how to set and check small mammal traps, and how to handle animals caught, including harvest mouse.

Small mammal surveyThere will also be information on how to get involved in small mammal monitoring projects.

Essential items to bring:

-Packed lunch (tea and coffee is however provided)

-Waterproofs and boots for outdoor activities

-Notepad and pencil
