This course is aimed at beginners and amateurs, who wish to learn how to survey for great crested newts. The great crested newt is a European Protected Species, therefore learning about its ecology and habitat requirements plays an important role in its conservation.
The course will consist of indoor sessions learning about the ecology of this and other amphibians, followed by outdoor field sessions, where participant have the chance to use different survey techniques to .
Essential items to bring:
-Packed lunch (tea and coffee is however provided)
-Waterproofs and boots for outdoor activities
-Notepad and pencil
