Welsh Wildlife Centre Dishes

Our iconic and award winning Welsh Wildlife Centre is home to the wonderful Glasshouse Café. Visitors are invited to be our guest and sample our delicious home-cooked delights whilst enjoying the amazing panoramic views of the beautiful Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve, River Teifi and mature oak woodland. Four legged friends are also welcome in the outdoor cafe seating areas and oh, did we mention the cake? … yum!

The Glasshouse Café is the perfect place to relax in comfort and watch the seasons come and go. Visitors are entertained by the many bird species that can be seen from the café’s large glass windows. Highlights include Goshawk, Barn owl, Great white egret, Hobby and Merlin and of course our famous Starling murmuration in late autumn/winter.

Keep an eye out for resident foxes and even red deer as they traverse the paths behind Oak Tree Cottage-the Cwtch, our on site holiday cottage.

Food Glorious Food…

Our food is far from the run of the mill fayre expected at visitor centre cafés. We offer a diverse specials board including many internationally inspired dishes as well as some good old Welsh favourites and Paninis, soups and filled rolls.

The vast majority of the cakes are home made especially in the autumn and winter and of excellent quality. Especially popular are our Chocolate, orange and almond cake which just happens to be naturally gluten free and our sticky toffee date cake which again just happens to be suitable for vegans and is delicious!

Tickle Your Taste buds…

Some of our top dishes include the mouth-watering Pembrokeshire Pie. Chunks of bacon, leeks and potatoes flavoured with garlic and herbs, topped with mature Welsh cheddar cheese and served hot with a selection of interesting and tasty salads.

Turkish courgette and feta cheese fritters flavoured with fresh mint and dill and served with mango chutney and salads (gluten free and vegetarian).

Moroccan spiced rabbit tagine served with basmati rice and home made flatbreads.

Glasshouse cashew nut burgers served with a homemade tomato, basil and oregano sauce and salads.

Our café has a great deal to offer to people with various dietary needs and our staff are always happy to discuss customers requirements. Most of what we offer is home made on the premises, visitors will not find all the unnecessary “hidden extras” which may be present in “off the shelf” goods.

So what are you waiting for? Come and visit us!
