Hilary Pascoe is approaching her 70th birthday in May this year, but to celebrate she didn't want to do just anything. Instead of the more traditional party or get together with family and friends, Hilary has decided to raise funds for The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales by taking on the fastest zip-line in the world (and the longest one in Europe)! She will literally be flying without wings!
Hilary said, I wanted to do something a bit different to mark my 70th Birthday and, in the process, raise some much needed funds for The Wildlife Trust. I didn't fancy cycling up Everest and I can't run a marathon as I've had both of my knees replaced. So I thought I would take on the longest zip-line in Europe and the fastest zip line in the world! A bit crazy - but that's me.
I first became interested in the work of The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales when visiting Skomer Island and I fell in love with the Puffins. I have since then learnt a great deal more about the work of the Trust, particularly on a local level, and I have decided to raise some much needed funds to help them with their vital work.
Anything that you can spare to help me fundraise for The Wildlife Trust would be greatly appreciated!
If you can, please donate to Hilary's Just Giving Page and help her reach her target of £1000 for local wildlife by May 5th, when she will take to the skies.
