This month has been very exciting at WTSWW as we were nominated for a few different awards!
Parc Slip Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre was nominated for Bridgend's Tourism Business of the Year 2016. WTSWW's Marketing and Development Manager; Gina Gavigan, Marketing and Communications Officer; Rebecca Vincent and Parc Slip's Visitor Centre Manager; Anne Woodhall attended the awards ceremony on Friday the 24th September. Unfortunately Parc Slip didn't win the Bridgend's Business Forum Awards for Bridgend's Tourism Business of the year but we are delighted to have even been nominated. This years winner was Coed Y Mwstyr and we would like to congratulate them on their award.
WTSWW is also up for a variety of awards in this years Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards. The categories we are nominated for are as follows:
Best Access for the Disabled Visitor - The Welsh Wildlife Centre
Best Non-Serviced Accommodation (under 3 units) - Oak Tree Cottage
Sustainable Tourism - Skomer Island
Best Marketing Campaign - 30 Days Wild
The awards ceremony for the Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards will take place on the 10th November and we have already seen some of the judges visit our reserves! We are up against some incredible competition and we wish everyone the best of luck.
Once the awards have been given out will will provide an update with the results.
Wish us luck 🙂
