A little competition to tease the brain! This competition revolves around the project that Todd Jenkins is running. Todd is one of our resident students from Cardiff University. This involves the great crested newt belly patterns. The reason for taking the pictures of the belly patterns is that the patterns are unique to the individual, so you can identify them easily (or so Todd says!).
So here it is, if you take a look at the pictures see if you can match each one from the left hand side with one from the right hand side, and e-mail your answers to firstname.lastname@example.org, we can see how many of you could be the next great crested newt identifiers.
Answers will be posted in next months e-newsletter.
