Description: Join Bob & Annie Haycock for an introduction to bird species on Teifi Marshes nature reserve area (ranging from garden birds to woodland and wetland birds) with an emphasis on learning bird song of a range of typical species; distinguishing contact calls; and aspects of bird behaviour.
Participants should become more familiar with birds and hopefully feel more confident to contribute to local and national bird surveys, such as the BTO Garden Bird-watch scheme. The course will cater for those with no bird knowledge and those with some experience.
The course will commence with an indoors presentation to introduce the subject, followed by field observations in the nature reserve at the Wildlife Centre. We will return to the centre to enter records of species encountered outdoors to an on-line Website
Bookings: Cost is £25 per person. To book please contact Sharon Davies at The Welsh Wildlife Centre on 01239 621600. Please book by April 10th 2014.
