Nest boxes. National nest box week. Nest box workshop

Blue tit and robin nest boxes.

National Nest Box Week takes place every year from 14th to 21st February. The week aims to provide breeding birds with nesting sites, by encouraging people to put up nest boxes in their garden. Breeding birds are struggling to find natural nest sites, e.g. holes in trees or in old buildings, because trees are being cut down and nooks and crannies in old buildings are repaired over winter. Taking part in the week will contribute to the conservation of and greatly help our native birds.

Price: £7 per box.

Age Group: Minimum age for this event is 10 years old. Children aged 10-16 years must be supervised by an accompanying adult.

Time: We will be running two sessions during the day. Session 1: 10.30am to 12.30pm. Session 2: 1pm to 3pm.
