Celebrate National Nest Box week by making a nest box for your garden. We’ll teach you how to make your own nest box and give advice on encouraging birds into your garden.
National Nest Box Week takes place every year from 14th to 21st February. The week aims to provide breeding birds with nesting sites, by encouraging people to put up nest boxes in their garden. Breeding birds are struggling to find natural nest sites, e.g. holes in trees or in old buildings, because trees are being cut down and nooks and crannies in old buildings are repaired over winter. Taking part in the week will contribute to the conservation of and greatly help our native birds.
