2 hour survey, start time 9.00
Weather conditions: fair/overcast and dull, sea state 1-2, wind direction SW
Three bottlenose dolphins

The survey began with no sightings for the first hour, yet when the clock rang 10.00 three dolphins were sighted, including one calf, foraging northeast off the harbour wall. After half an hour an adult and calf moved towards the fish factory and began leaping and lunging, leaving the third dolphin foraging at the end of the harbour wall. By the end of the survey only one dolphin was left, foraging off the harbour wall.

Four bottlenose dolphins

The survey began with one bottlenose dolphin foraging between the cardinal buoy and harbour wall. The dolphin remained in and around this area and was joined by another dolphin at 11.45. At the end of the survey three dolphins were sighted around the harbour wall.

Weather conditions: fair/sunny, sea state 2, wind direction SW
Six bottlenose dolphins

Dolphins were seen throughout the survey, beginning with two foraging and one travelling west, north of the harbour wall. At 13.15 five dolphins were sighted. Three of these were seen lunging and leaping north of the harbour wall, and one adult and calf were seen travelling east towards the cardinal buoy. At 13.30 three dolphins were seen leaping and lunging as well as one foraging and by 13.45 one dolphin was seen travelling north from the harbour wall, another seen foraging by the cardinal buoy, and two more seen foraging west of the fish factory. This situation remained until 14.15 when numbers dropped and just one dolphin was left foraging in front of the harbour wall. The survey finished on a high with six bottlenose dolphins travelling and leaping all north of the harbour wall.

The survey began with four dolphins, three of them including a calf were foraging by the harbour wall and one was seen milling at the surface. At 15.45 three dolphins began leaping and lunging north of the harbour wall. In the second hour only one dolphin was seen foraging around the bay
