27/05/15: 8 bottlenose dolphins, 14 Atlantic grey seals and 1 harbour porpoise

Eight bottlenose dolphins, ten atlantic grey seals and one harbour porpoise.

Within the first hour five atlantic grey seals were seen hauled out, and the harbour porpoise was spotted foraging in association with a kittiwakes. In the third hour another two seals were seen with herring gulls, one in the water and the other hauled out, and the eight bottlenose dolphins also with herring gulls, two of which were juveniles the rest being adults. They displayed behaviour which included leaping, fast travel, tail slap, bow riding and socialising. The last hour only three atlantic grey seals were seen which were hauled out.

The first two atlantic grey seals were seen at 14:09, and were both hauled out. The third atlantic grey seal was sighted seven minutes after the first sighting, and in the water. All three atlantic grey seals were females.

There was only one sighting at 16:11, of one female atlantic grey seal in the water.
