25/07/11: 23 bottlenose dolphins, 1 harbour porpoise and 8 Atlantic grey seals

Five bottlenose dolphins, three Atlantic grey seals

Our first sighting was a bottlenose dolphin foraging off New Quay headland. Then we spotted three bottlenose dolphins also foraging between New Quay headland and Bird Rock.  Following this we also saw one Atlantic grey seal in the water near Ynys Lochtyn. Two more Atlantic grey seals were seen off the coast of Trwyn Crou hauled out on some rocks. The final sighting was of one bottlenose dolphin foraging near Bird Rock.

Weather conditions; Sea state 0-1, visibility >10km, light swell.
Four bottlenose dolphins and three Atlantic grey seals

The first sighting was of two bottlenose dolphins foraging off Bird Rock. Three adult Atlantic grey seals were seen between Trwyn Crou and Cwmtydu, two females were hauled out and one male in the water. The final sighting was two bottlenose dolphins foraging south of Carreg Draenog.

Six bottlenose dolphins and two Atlantic grey seals

First sighting was two bottlenose dolphins foraging off New Quay headland. One Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water off Trwyn Crou. Four bottlenose dolphins were seen foraging south of Carreg Draenog. The final sighting was of one Atlantic grey seal seen near Bird Rock in the water.

One harbour porpoise and five bottlenose dolphins

The first sighting was one harbour porpoise seen foraging near Ynys Lochtyn, Kittiwakes were also seen associated with the porpoise. One bottlenose dolphin was also seen near Ynys Lochtyn travelling west. Four bottlenose dolphins were seen travelling west off the coast of Trwyn Crou.
