30 Bottlenose dolphins and seven Atlantic grey seals

The first Atlantic grey seal was seen in the water between New Quay head and Cwmtydu and the second Atlantic grey seal was found in the water by Cwmtydu beach. Two bottlenose dolphins including one calf were found travelling West near Aberporth. Another bottlenose dolphin was spotted travelling West also offshore from Seal Cove near Aberporth; with two male Atlantic grey seal located just afterwards fighting in the water. Two bottlenose dolphins including one calf were spotted foraging near the rocks at Mwnt, and three female Atlantic grey seals were spotted in the water just offshore from Cardigan Island. Three bottlenose dolphins including one calf were found foraging offshore from Cardigan Island near Mwnt, whilst another group of four bottlenose dolphins were located travelling West. A group of five bottlenose dolphins including one calf were seen near Mwnt travelling South East before turning North West. Another group of eight bottlenose dolphins including one calf and one juvenile were spotted offshore from Mwnt travelling East, associated with this group were a group of birds including the species: herring gulls, kittiwakes, manx shearwater, razorbill, guillemot and lesser black backed gulls. A group of four bottlenose dolphins including one juvenile were located foraging far offshore from Mwnt with a group of gannets. A sunfish was also spotted on the way back to New Quay between the headland and Cmwtydu.
