Seven bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were sighted throughout the survey in the area between the harbour wall and the cardinal buoy, and off the fish factory.  They were mainly seen to be foraging at depth, although there was some chasing behaviour near the surface, with fish seen.

Five bottlenose dolphins

Two bottlenose dolphins were seen at the beginning of the survey foraging near the cardinal buoy, with a further two seen foraging off the harbour wall.  Dolphins remained for the rest of the survey, mainly foraging, with some leaping seen.  An adult and calf was also seen.

Three bottlenose dolphins

At the beginning of the survey a single bottlenose dolphin was seen foraging between the fish factory and the cardinal buoy.  This was then joined by two further bottlenose dolphins near the cardinal buoy, which were last seen travelling towards the fish factory, thought to be searching for food whilst on the move.

Six bottlenose dolphins

After half and hour one bottlenose dolphin and calf were seen foraging near the fish factory.  They continued foraging for the rest of survey near the cardinal buoy, before in last half hour being joined by a further four bottlenose dolphins, one of which was also a calf.

Five bottlenose dolphins

Bottlenose dolphins were seen for the majority of this survey, foraging between the cardinal buoy and the fish factory.  A mother and calf were first seen travelling around the bay, thought to be searching for food on the move.  Over the survey period they were joined by a further three adult bottlenose dolphins, before they disappeared around the corner by the fish factory.
