17/08/12 Bottlenose dolphins and Atlantic grey seal

Nine bottlenose dolphin.

The nine bottlenose dolphins, including two calves foraged in front of the harbour wall for the majority of the survey, occasionally displaying leaping behaviours and on two occasions making their way over to the cardinal buoy and back again. A sunfish was also seen during this survey.

Eight bottlenose dolphins One Atlantic grey seal.

The group foraged again throughout the survey in front of the harbour wall, only breaching when approached by a boat in the first hal of the survey. An inquisitive atlantic grey seal stayed close to the harbour wall in the last 45 minutes of the survey.

Two bottlenose dolphin.

To bottlenose dolphins foraged in front of the harbour wall before heading slightly offshore towards the fish factory.

Two bottlenose dolphins.

The two dolphins remained deep foraging for the entirety of the survey on several occasions briefly breaching and tail slapping the water.
