Land Based Sightings
May 14, 2018
Weather conditions: sunny, sea state 1, wind direction variable
Our Living Seas volunteers carried out land-based surveys from 7am – 7pm yesterday. Bottlenose dolphins were sighted throughout the morning, seen to be leaping and travelling between the headland and cardinal buoy. Following a quieter period in the early afternoon, a smaller group of Bottlenose dolphins returned to the New Quay bay area later in the day, again exhibiting leaping behaviours, much to the delight of the general public.
