Friends of the Islands

The Friends of the Islands is a unique group of people who have come together to support the work on the two beautiful islands of Skomer and Skokholm.

The Friends have been heavily involved with Skokholms redevelopment and have driven both the fundraising and the restoration work forward.

The Friends of Skokholm and Skomer Blog

Members live not only in south and west Wales, but all over the British Isles and beyond, drawn together by a love of island environments and a wish both to support and to find out more about the island reserves of Skomer and Skokholm.   We raise money to give direct to the islands,  issue Islands News twice a year and hold an Annual Reunion in February each year,  near Cheltenham.  At this the wardens give illustrated reports,  visiting speakers lecture on current research or about other islands and you can meet and enthuse with like-minded people (and the food is good, too!). To join the Friends please download The Friends of the Islands Application Form

We are currently engaged on a programme of work to repair and restore the very special buildings on Skokholm.
