How You Can Support Us!

To continue our work to protect local wildlife, the Trust relies on the support of local people across our area, and sometimes beyond. We hope that by providing a range of opportunities, we will increase local support for and involvement in our work. Below are the primary ways in which individuals can help:

Become a Member- Members are vital in supporting our work. Your contribution makes the Trust even more effective and every member strengthens the voice of the Trust.

Corporate involvement is a way for your company to make positive contribution, through membership, sponsorship, and/or staff team building days on one of our nature reserves. Follow the link to find out more.

Become a Friend of the Islands - Your Friends subscription of £12.00 a year will be used to support conservation on Skokholm and Skomer.

Adoption Schemes - We have several adoption schemes which help fund important conservation projects across the Trust's reserves and also to help preserve and improve wildlife habitats. The most popular is our Protect-a-Puffin scheme.

Volunteering - Volunteers are essential to the Trust. Whatever your interest and ability your spare time is valuable to us.

Volunteers are an integral part of the structure and running of WTSWW. As a charity, WTSWW is heavily reliant upon voluntary contributions to fulfil its charitable objectives. Volunteers take part in activities within the Trust contributing skills, talents, experience and time, which often expand the skills-base of the Trust. They also help to contain costs, raise funds and help raise awareness with people through the local groups.

Volunteers can be any age and can be experienced or inexperienced. Whether you are looking for training and experience to pursue a career in conservation, looking to keep fit and meet new people in your spare time, or looking for a new challenge following retirement or during a career break, we can offer you a range of opportunities!

Join your Local Group - Would you like to learn more about the wildlife on you doorstep and meet other people with an interest in wildlife? The local Groups of the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales have a full programme of events. These events can range from guided walks, to quizes or academic talks from the experts, to coffee mornings.
