Help us to monitor wildlife in South and West Wales
The Wildlife Trust is asking all members to help monitor wildlife in their local area so we can establish over time the distribution of wildlife species that are often thought of as common, such as Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae), House Sparrow (Passer domesticus) and Song Thrush (Turdus philemelos). In fact, many of the species once thought of as common or widespread are now declining in Wales, due to increased pressure on their various habitats.
We are asking members to report any sightings of the three butterfly and bird species we are particularly interested in so that we can build a picture of those species distribution in the area. All we need is the surveyors name and contact, species name, date of record and a grid reference or post code.
